Introduction to Support Work in Schools

Tuesday 23rd November – 10-12pm – 4 x sessions

This course is designed to equip parents with the knowledge, skills and understanding to support children in a wide range of areas of learning, ranging from supporting development in maths and English, to supporting social, emotional and behavioural development. It’s an ideal starting point for those with young children (or grandchildren) who wish to know more about how to support their children’s learning.

Introduction to Working with Children

Thursday 11th November – 10-12pm – 4 x sessions

Are you interested in working with children? We will explore opportunities, e.g. paid employment, volunteering, independent provider (e.g. nanny or childminder). We will discuss child development, safeguarding and legislation on introductory levels. We will discuss various methods of creating safe and stimulating environment for children to promote age-appropriate learning.
